introduced practice for The Love of the nightingale play- 3rd march 2015

In the first scene we came up with me having a costume box but im not there with them, at first.
im remerging through the costume box, then they notice I am gone so they call me over and I say "eyy guys look what I found" then by this we all get our costumes on and act out our bits.
In this lesson we also got given our own part of the script/book and we had to stand up and say it, but also add movements that would go with the words for example there are formal and informal bits which to do this we speak and act formal when the important characters are talking, but when the informal actors speak we go back to being quite slouchy what i mean by this is we have our legs together and stand with posture this shows that were being formal.
The other things we did in this lesson was set the stage, we were placed one by one onto the stage and where ever we was placed was the place that we have to get down from and say our line in the 3rd scene.

In this play i play two characters, i have to play a formal character and an informal character.
this play is all about war and how people reacted throughout the war, this play shows lots of different emotions such as love, sadness, angry, scared ...
this play is a physical theatre play as there are lots of activity throughout this play this includes using the whole of the stage.
Meanwhile this play is very intense and satisfying too.
there are gunner be funny parts and sad parts to this play too. in this we are acting as children but we are saying what we are doing through (narration).
the person that this interlinks with is bertolf bretch as he uses physical theatre as a stimulus and he uses narration and acting out the same time.

introduced plays with a truly epic scope. Made things rude and gags.
·         The best German word in theatre……… verfremdungseffekt to make something a little strange ( v- effect) something can create verfremdungseffekt.
·         Verfremdungseffekt, or v- effect is essentially what happens when you shatter the illusion that the piece of theatre the audience is watching  is real.

The things i learnt from this practical lesson was how acting and speaking looks, for example im in a boat, but really im just acting out and making it look like i am.
but the audience will know exactly what it is, because it looks realistic and this is what bertolf bretch used.

  1. You have made an attempt here to put your understanding of Brecht in a practical context, and in doing so you have shown that you have made some connections between the theory and the performance.
You have begun to explore the rehearsal process a little and show some insight into what is being carried out on stage.
I would like to suggest that you write your posts in Word first, then check your spelling and grammar before cutting and pasting it here - that way you might avoid some of the errors that you are making with your spelling.
